A CBV, or Chartered Business Valuator, is a professionally accredited expert who quantifies the worth of all or part of a business or its securities.
A CBV has the ability to determine the value of tangible and intangible assets, including goodwill, along with the skills and training to properly explain their analysis in an easy to understand manner.

- has successfully completed a comprehensive educational Programme;
- has the practical experience needed to handle business valuation issues;
- takes a minimum number of hours of continuing education every year;
