Experience:
Agnes Leung is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator and has been practicing in the litigation support and business valuation area since 1999.
Agnes has lived and worked in Edmonton since graduating with a B. Comm. from the University of Alberta in 1992. Upon obtaining her CA in 1997, she joined Ernst & Young working in the area of accounting, assurance and business advisory before concentrating her practice in business valuation and litigation support. At Ernst & Young Corporate Finance, Agnes prepared and assisted in the valuation of a variety of privately owned businesses for income tax, matrimonial property settlement and shareholder buy/sell purposes. She also prepared business loss assessments for a variety of industry such as sawmill, farms and medical practices. During this time, she attained her CBV.
In 2003, she had her own practice, supporting various clients with their accounting systems and year-end work. In 2004 and 2005 she gained exposure in other areas of litigation support such as personal injury calculations while working at Gardiner Karbani Audy Inc. Prior to joining MVI, Agnes gained valuable experience in the health industry. She provided financial analysis, budget controls and maintenance for two major regional programs for the local health authority with budgets over $50 million combined. Since 2006, Agnes has been serving the business valuation needs for a variety of clients from franchise bakery to trucking companies to manufacturers to wholesalers with head offices in Alberta.
On the Litigation Support service side, she has been involved in a public company’s shareholders dispute, numerous personal injury damage assessments for income losses, cost of care, housekeeping costs as well as business valuations arising from the need of matrimonial dispute settlement.
